EMOTION 2015: 400 YEARS OF ITALIAN MUSIC EIGHTEEN PIECES OF MUSIC FROM THE 1600s TO THE PRESENT DAY CELEBRATE EMO MILANO 2015 AND SHARE ITALY’S CULTURE AND ART WITH THE WORLD.

21.10.2014

EMOTION 2015 is a collection of classical and exclusively Italian pieces of music, put together to celebrate EMO MILANO 2015, the metal processing industry’s global exposition, which will take place in fieramilano from the 5th to the 10th of October next.

Chosen and performed by a distinctly talented duo equipped with the organ and the trumpet, the eighteen pieces of music have been selected by the musicians Mario Mariotti and Fabio Nava for being especially adept in accenting Italian creativity and flair with the intention of promoting the soon-to-be EMO host’s artistic and cultural features to an international audience.

For that same reason, the musical project supported by EFIM-ENTE FIERE ITALIANE MACCHINE (appointed by CECIMO for the organization of EMO MILANO 2015) and developed by the two artists has allowed for recordings in places of worship in some minor towns and cities around Milan.

The Basilicas of Villasanta (Milan), Barzio (Lecco) and Bergamo have been chosen for both their first-rate organs as well as for being illustrative of Italian culture, which has an immeasurable artistic and historical legacy even in provincial cities and small villages.

The CD, which will be distributed at all of EMO MILANO 2015’s official events, will undertake a world-tour accompanying the exhibition’s press-conference road show through the world’s most important industry capitals: from Chicago (where a preview was held last September) to Tokyo, through Beijing, Shanghai, Bangalore, Taipei, San Paolo and Sharjah, before arriving at the foremost European cities.

EMOTION 2015 has also found a place for itself in a musical domain of noteworthy acclaim in the very country that will host the exhibition next October, thus contributing to the event by increasing its visible presence among the Italian public. Such is the case of MiTo, the music festival held in Milan and Turin in September, where EMOTION 2015 has been introduced during three of the festival’s shows.

“In our country’s history, music has always been connected to ideas and arts, to social transformations and events,” states Pier Luigi Streparava General Commissioner of EMO MILANO 2015. “It is through EMOTION 2015 that we wish to tell our 150,000 expected  visitors and indeed all of the workers in this sector, about what our beautiful country has to offer. Not merely ‘machines with which to build the future’, as EMO MILANO 2015’s slogan states, but everything that the Italian edition of EMO has to offer beyond the 345,000m2  of promotional space reserved for the event.”
